Automatic monitoring and targeting (AM&T) of energy consumption is now a requirement of the building regulations for buildings exceeding 1000m2. Furthermore, the energy performance ratings of existing buildings can be significantly improved by installing AM&T. The cost of AM&T is often repaid within a few years due to the energy savings identified.
Our AM&T solution:
Automated (hourly) reading of energy meters (e.g. gas, electric, heat etc). The data is automatically transferred to our offices where it is analysed using specialist software.
The data is checked to ensure that the building is operating in an energy efficient way i.e. that energy consumption is being controlled against internal budgets, and/or benchmarks set against comparable buildings.
Energy usage that exceeds set energy efficiency targets is identified and the problem analysed by drilling down into the detailed consumption data.
System or equipment faults are identified by sudden changes in energy consumption.
Opportunities for energy saving measures are identified for further investigation.
For multi-tenanted buildings, all energy consumption data can be sent to a separate billing system where invoices are generated.
Our service:
We will survey your proposed or existing building and recommend a metering strategy to suit the building usage and layout.
We will supply energy meters, as identified in our survey, for installation within your building. Meters will be configured to automatically transmit data back to our offices.
We will issue monthly reports on energy consumption and provide recommendations on how to improve system performance.
If required, we will provide a monthly or quarterly billing service for separately metered tenancies.
